Activities:
Direction Dance: This is based on a traditional Mexican melody, also known as La Raspa. The group stands in a circle and takes three dramatic steps to the right on each beat, and then claps twice quickly on the “and of three” beat and on beat four. Do this 8 times during the first section.
For the second section, take 4 steps towards the center of the circle, then 4 steps back out and repeat.
For the third section, simply twirl and have fun! You can also join hands with a partner and twirl together.
