Activities

Sit-down Song/ Fingerplay: Sit and sing this song a cappella or with the CD while doing the following hand motions:
1st line: Hold up four fingers and wave them back and forth to the beat.
2nd line: Take that hand and have it wave up and down as if going up and down hills, moving away from you.
3rd line: With your OTHER hand, flap your fingers and thumb together as if they are a mama duck’s beak quacking.
4th line: Hold up three (or appropriate number of) fingers and wave them back and forth to the beat. For “no ducks,” make a zero with your hand.
Repeat, removing a finger each verse until the last verse, where you have four little ducks (four fingers) come waddling back.

Color in the Picture: Color the picture of “Four Little Ducks” in the coloring sheet.
